what are your peoples opinions about the inflated rental rates in the past 3-4 years? do any of you guys remember the time when you were
able to afford to pay an apt. rent on a minimum wage job. What kind of an economy is it where people need to split the costs with a roomie just to get by. f****** outrageous.

don't rent, purchase as soon as possible. It is going to get a lot worse.
If you are on a tight budget, consider a interest only loan. This is a loan that never build equity other than having the value of the home goes up. Say for example, to borrow $200K is normally about $2000 a month + taxes and insurance. A interest only loan is about $1000 a month + the same taxes and insurance. What happens is after 10 to 20 years the home will be worth $400K in which you can sell and make the $200K in profit all the while you where paying the same rate as rent.
