I'm in the Illinois / St. Louis area and wanting to start a carpet and tile cleaning service. I need help in finding a truck mount I can afford and related parts. Any help would be greatly appreaciated.
Donald:
All the truckmounts can clean tile floors at 1000 psi. Tile cleaning uses a large amount of water so most truckmount operators that clean loads of tile install what's called an automatic pump out system. This is a feature that runs from $695 (generic), $895 (White Magic's brand), to $999 (Prochem's brand). Automatic pump out is standard feature on all Chemspec truckmounts and Fox truckmounts (6000 and higher series). So if you really want aggressive cleaning, 2000 to 3000 psi is standard on Victory, Genesis, and all Chemspec truckmounts.
Because of the high water consumption, most of the smaller truckmounts would have difficulty heating up that much water. The exception to this though, is Prochem's "Flame Thrower" (hottest of all truckmounts, costs $11,000 installed). If you are looking at the cheapest way to get started the Prochem unit with auto dump comes to $12K and can maintain 1000 psi high flow water consumption at 240 degrees. This is hotter and cheaper than most of the other models. I'm not saying the other units are not as well built, just looking at dollars spent vs. water flow and the temperature of the cleaning wand. I hope this helps, there are multiple choices of models to choose from.
