You still get the best results by darkening the room by covering the windows with black contractor trash bags. Secure bags with clamps to the drapery rod or with thumb tacks. Urine spot floress yellow/green, and optical brighteners floress bluish/white. Always confirm all spots by sticking carpet with a Wet Check or moisture probe. Sometimes customers have urine on the carpet and spot clean a any cleaner they can find. Since the cleaner might have an optical brightener in it, the spot might still floress white instead of yellow. UV light can be used to detect other body fluids and is used for carpet inspectors to determine whether or not latex seam sealer was used on all seams.
