Why Should the padding not be removed?
Jobs involving sewer backups, grey or black water flooding or untimely discoveries are all cases requiring the removal of padding. In CLEAN WATER situations and and with a QUICK RESOPNSE, the padding can be "dried in place" along with the carpet. In the last three years, with the aid of proper equipment, and the use of the patented OCTI-DRY wall and structure drying system, we have saved approximately 95% of clean water saturated padding.

What are the benefits of the Octi-Dry system?
In most cases major disruption of the customer home or business can be avoided. A proven history of QUICK RESPONSE and proper drying, helps to limit the effects of secondary damage which can meet or exceed the original water intrusion.

How do you dry my walls?
Most wall coverings, (paint, wallpaper, etc.), are designed to be water repellent. When water damage occurs and saturates the wall structure, drying expediently is essential. Our patented OCTI-DRY system forces warm air through the wall structure, directing it where it is needed most. This results in a more thorough structure drying. |

Where does the ODOR come from?
Odor is the culprit used by most to justify the procedure of removing carpet and padding still used by 99% of the companies servicing water loss victims. Alot of research has been done in the last 10 years about odor and the removal of it. In most cases, if you remove the moisture, you remove the breeding environment of mold, mildew and bacteria. Generally when the bacteria can no longer breed or grow, there is no odor. For many years it was thought that odor originated from the carpet and padding. Not so, odor comes from the moisture.

For Water Mitigation Specialists.
Today, there are newer ways to handle "WET" carpet, walls, cabinets, etc. Unfortunately, not all water restoration companies take advantage of these newer procedures.
Listed below are some of the advantages to purchasing and utilizing this incredible Octi-Dry technology:
The Old Way!
The old way of dealing with wet walls usually included removal of damaged areas to eradicate mold and mildew. |
The Octi-Dry way!
The Octi-Dry method of drying allows you to thoroughly dry out structures with limited loss of use to the customer.
Injects Biocides!
Octi-Dry can be used to distribute biocides into wall cavities to prevent the growth of bacteria while you dry. |
More Controll!
Octi-Dry allows you to regulate and direct the airflow to the areas most needed by inserting the nozzles directly into pre-drilled holes! Once inserted you can turn the angled nozzles to the specific areas you choose. For versatility the Octi-Dry comes with two different sizes of nozzles.
Unlimited Capacity!
Octi-Dry 10 ft. units interconnect to give you the capacity to dry structures from 4 ft. to infinity. A 100 ft. wall can be dried using only two standard air movers, resulting in a savings in amperage and equipment resources. |
Quicker Drying Time
Because Octi-Dry delivers controlled, high volume airflow directly into wet walls, you can dry every wall cavity simultaneously.
