Tips and Additional Information

Ensure the heating unit is completely filled with water before connecting power to prevent dry-fire damage to the elements. Verify electrical circuit separation on dual-cord machines to avoid tripping facility breakers. Inspect all wiring connections and thermostat mountings during installation.
Important: Do not allow the unit to freeze, as trapped water expansion will crack the stainless steel housing, and never use with flammable liquids.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What machines is this 1200W heater compatible with?
A: This heater is designed as a direct replacement for Clean Storm 12-6500 series heated portables (including 12-6500-H and 12-6500-H-AFAD models) and Sandia Plastic heated carpet extractors.

Q: How is the heater wired into the machine?
A: The assembly uses two separate power cords. Each 600-watt heating rod is wired independently to its own power cord, drawing up to 5 amps per cord (10 amps total).

Q: Why does the heater turn off when I set the wand down?
A: The system features integrated auto-reset thermostats that detect water flow; it automatically deactivates when spraying stops to prevent overheating and turns back on the moment you resume cleaning.

Warranty & Safety Information

Conditions that void warranty include: Operating the unit without adequate water flow (dry firing), allowing water inside the unit to freeze, exposing the system to flammable or corrosive liquids, improper electrical wiring or exceeding maximum voltage/amp specifications, and failure to use genuine replacement components.
