When set your carpet cleaning tool down and quit cleaning, you will notice the internal water will reach 200 degrees and the heater will turn itself off (red lights will turn off). When you pick up the cleaning tool or wand and start cleaning again, the heater will turn itself back on again! The red lights will turn back on again letting you know it is working. Average temperature rise is 20 to 25 degrees while cleaning (100% improvement in water molecular molecule vibration)
Please note that all electric heaters are designed to boost hot water. They are not designed to heat cold water. You can use them with cold water, but only expect a 30 degree rise while in use.

Question: How come the video of the heater looks different than the current design?
Answer: We invested a lot of money making improvements including but not limited to the: Included 12-3 X 25 ft power cord, larger lift handle and power cord wrap, Rotomold housing is tougher and water resistant, and build in temperature gauge. Until further notice we are sticking with the romo-mold.
Question: Can I choose my color or will this color be in stock?
Answer: No, we only get a set number and we get what we are sent to us.
Question: Do you have to hook it to the sink to use this heater?
Answer: NO, for some reason the video was a mistake. Just because you can hook it to the sink does noes not mean you are supposed to hook to the sink. Most carpet cleaners would hook the machine to the carpet cleaning machine and not the sink. The sink was only used for simulation and testing. All in-line carpet cleaning heaters are used the same way. You take your 5 ft solution hose (included with heater) and snap it into the outbound QD on the face of the extractor and feed the water pressure into the male QD on the Volcano 2000 heater. Your solution hose that travels to your wand is snapped into the female QD on the heater that has insulation on it. The over pressurization safety hose is snapped into the safety valve on one side and the open side is laid in the fresh water tank of the portable carpet cleaning machine or the sink.
Question: Will the heater break if I run it dry?
Answer: No, the heating rods are not in the water, rather they are heating the housing. You cannot hurt the heater by running it dry.
Question: What happens if I let it freeze?
Answer: I expect you will break it. Water expanse 8% when it freezes so I am sure the housing of the heater core will break. The housing are tested to 1500 psi but pressure in ice is way over 10,000 psi.
Question: What is the average expected temperature rise while cleaning carpet?
Answer: 25 degree F for carpet cleaning and 50 degrees F for Upholstery cleaning. Naturally the size of jets you use and the amount of squeeze / cleaning stroke time VS dry stroke time will ultimately dictate the temperature rise.
Question: What will happen if I plug into a 15 amp outlet instead of a 20 amp outlet?
Answer: It is fine. This heater will run at 14 amps so it should run for many hours without tripping any breakers.

ALWAYS SUPPORT THE BACK OF THE BRASS QD ASSEMBLY WITH YOUR OTHER HAND WHEN CONNECTING HOSES TO THE UNIT.
ALWAYS USE CAUTION AND COMMON SENSE WHEN HANDLING METAL HOSE ENDS AND FITTINGS ON THE HOT OR DISCHARGE SIDE OF THE HEATER. THESE METAL FITTINGS CAN BE HOT ENOUGH TO CAUSE SERIOUS DISCOMFORT AND BURNS.
