This model with the optional HTC power converter pack gives you the added weight and speed and power but still can easily be powered up. No generator required. 20 amp surge / 13 amp run. When starting the unit, apply downward pressure to lift head and lower the surge amp draw. Once turning, let up on the handle to start grinding with 79 lbs downward head pressure.
