The new ETM-LX-115 features dual Mytee® hybrid vacuum motors that deliver 20-30% more power than comparable vacuum motors.

From carpets and upholstery, to hard surface cleaning and flood extraction, the Escape™ ETM gives you the power of a truck mount, with the mobility of a portable extractor so you can go anywhere, including high-rise buildings.

Use the vacuum booster to add an additional 180 CFM when running long hose lines and avoid CFM loss.

The Escape™ ETM has been engineered to be powered three different ways:

Run the ETM off of two 115V 20 amp outlets.
Use the included adapters to run the ETM off of one 30 amp 3-prong or 4-prong dryer outlet.
The final option for powering the ETM is to use a generator. The ETM requires almost 7,000 watts of power to run, so make sure your generator is rated accordingly to run the ETM.

Questions and Answers:
Q: Can I operate on two 15 amp breakers?
A: No. The reason is each vacuum motor draws 15 amp and is on its own power cord. Shared with each vacuum motor is the auto pump out on one cord (3.5 amps) and the high pressure water pump on the other cord (3.5 amps). So even if you turn off the auto dump pump, you would be drawing 18.5 amps on the pressure pump/vac cord and 15 amps on the second cord running vacuum only. Only if you pressure feed, direct connect your wand to the customer sink and do not turn on either the pressure pump or the auto dump pump, you could clean on two 15 amp breakers for a while but noting else could be plugged into these breakers. The national electrical code states that the recommended amp draw is 20% less than the rating for the outlet for longevity and safety. This means on 15 amps you ideally would only use 12 amps and on 20 amp breakers you would draw 16 amps. Naturally this rule if for items plugged in 24 hours a day, not two hours for carpet cleaning.

Q: Can I operate the ETM-LX-115 with the booster all on an electric clothes drier plug?
A: No. The electric clothes drier plug is two legs of 30 amps each. In other words, once I use 20 amps out of one side, I only have 10 amps max left to use. The booster has the same 15 amp vacuum motor installed under the hood so it would make it trip the breaker. You might get away with sharing the auto pump out/vac cord with the booster with the pump out pump turned off but this means the two vacuum motors are drawing 30 amps on a long power cord. Please note the longer you are from the drier connection/more extension cord I use, the more electric resistance I create. In other words a device that draws 30 amps at 5 feet of extension cord is not the same as a device that draws 30 amps at 50 ft of power cord. You should install a 3rd power cord up to the front porch or some other outlet. Also next to the electric close drier plug is the washing machine plug. This too is a great place to plug in your third cord.

Q: What is the minimum generator size to run 2 power cords from the Escape?
A: 389cc REQUIRED or larger. If you purchase the booster and use the booster on the same generator you will need a 459cc generator or larger and use with premium fuel only!

Q: Can I add a heater to this unit? Example the heat exchanger off the exhaust or electric heater?
A: Mostly NO. #1 the vacuum motor have to be in series to generate any level of heat to use a heat exchanger system. For example the Goliath quad vacuum motor machines or the original Mytee Escape ETM (now discontinued) all use a twin series pair configuration. These generate a lot of heat and offer more BTU of heat than the electric heaters because of the twin series pair configuration. Having just 2 vacuum motors in series will product some heat but only enough to provide a 12 degree rise. #2. The Mytee Turbo 2400 watt heater offers a 25 degree F temperature rise up and above what ever I feed my carpet cleaning machine. While the water molecule vibration is double so it does offer 100% cleaning performance increase, this type of heater only works well if you are already starting off with hot tap water, then the electric heater boost the already hot tap water. If I am starting off with cold 65 degree water, adding 25 degrees means I am cleaning at 90 degrees...
It is always easier to use a propane, diesel heater so I can hook to the cold garden hose outside. If you want to transfer the customer supplied hot water outside to your machine, you can us a kit

Q. Does this machine offer chemical injection?
A. No it does not.

If you used all 3 techniques above, heat exchanger, provide already hot water from the customer's home and the Mytee turbo heater, then yes, it would make a difference.

Q: Can I use a 4 jet 14" wide carpet cleaning wand?
A: Answer is both yes and no. Yes, this machine will operate both 14 and 15" wide wands with easy with this vacuum system, BUT do not expect it to hold up to any level of high pressure. The low flow rate on the Cat 1XP water pump combined with being suction feed pump design means the water pressure will drop by at least 50% when using a high flow tool. The Mytee Trex 15" rotary power wand would offer great results and speed as this tool does not require any level of water pressure to function.

Q: Can I clean tile with this machine?
A: Answer is both yes and no. Like with all 500 psi machines, you can rinse already clean tile but you cannot pressure wash tile. Example if I prespray and scrub the tile and get it clean, I can use a rinsing wand to rinse off the floor. In I want to pressure wash the tile in the rinse phase of my work, most professional prefer to use 1000 to 1500 psi to do this. Think about this... if I have two really dirty cars and one I hand scrub and rinse off garden hose pressure, the other I scrub and pressure wash rinse at 1500 psi, who does a better job? Both offer pretty good results but one is more professional.

Q. Are the machines always shipped in Blue color?
A. No, sometimes the factory fills in Green, Red, or Blue. Final shade or color is not guaranteed.
