Customer: Item arrived as USED not new in box, was partially assembled. One tire would not hold air. Many hardware pieces missing. This did NOT ship from the manufacture as stated on Steambrite webpage. Was a prior return they had onsite but sold me as NEW, at full price. They refunded fully except I had to pay $42 for return shipping which is outrageous for a fraudulent sales transaction.
Steambrite comments: This customer did purchase a brand new AR-5950 and was shipped a brand new AR-5950. This customer stated the hardware was in the box but did not like the exact type of hardware provided by the factory. Example a bolt can be manufacted in a ‘hex cap,’ a ‘button cap,’ a ‘socket cap,’ or ‘wingnut cap,’ etc.… The customer wanted a handle bolt that matched the photo for the listing. This does not matter as each factory reserves the right to make changes on their designed based on availability and how a part holds up under warranty. The function of the bolt remains the same, as long as the bolt works, then it is not an item to complain about. The factory provided hardware was fully functional and held the handle to the base plate. One of the two tires did have a slow leak but instead of making a warranty claim on this all sales final item, the customer opted to ship the item back for a refund. 100% of the invoice was refunded. The customer comment that he had to pay return shipping is a correct statement since he broke the agreement of all sales final item, that included a full factory parts warranty. I always think it is interesting how customers cannot simply tell the truth on what really transpired. You can purchase airline tickets, hotel tickets, and even rent a cars with the ability to be all sales final with a cheaper price, or pay a higher price but be able to cancel that reservation with less of a financial loss. It is interesting how customers will opt for the cheaper all sales payment option but then when they happen to need warranty service think that the agreement signed no longer applies to them. The price paid is 100% based on the agreement on how warranties are handled, returns are handled, etc. The return shipping cost could have easily been avoided by simply having the factory ship out a replacement wheel under warranty (customer declined this option.) What ever happened to the roper room rules or kindergarten rules, that if you do not have anything nice to say, keep it to yourself. To take the time and post negativity on line tells me someone really loves to be a ….
