Clean Storm 20171204, 1.5in OD White Plastic Vacuum Hose Joiner Coupler Connector, 86002460

Description

The Clean Storm 20171204 is a 1.5in OD smooth wall white plastic vacuum hose joiner coupler designed to securely connect two sections of 1.5-inch vacuum hose without stretching out vinyl hose cuffs.

Features

• Smooth Wall Construction: Features a smooth exterior profile that slides effortlessly into 1.5-inch vinyl hose cuffs without stretching, warping, or damaging the cuffs over time.
• Cold-Weather Friendly: Superior alternative to barbed connectors, making hose connections significantly easier during winter operations when vinyl cuffs become stiff and rigid.
• Durable Polymer Material: Molded from high-impact, chemical-resistant white rigid plastic engineered to withstand harsh carpet cleaning chemicals and commercial extraction environments.
• Unrestricted Airflow: Dual 1.5-inch outer diameter slip ends ensure maximum vacuum suction performance and uninterrupted CFM airflow across connected hose lines.
• Quick Field Assembly: Enables fast join-and-release functionality between hose lengths, reducing field setup and teardown times for mobile service technicians.

Applications

• Commercial carpet extraction and portable carpet extractor vacuum hose extensions.
• Truckmount carpet cleaning unit dual-hose line setups and field repairs.
• Automotive detailing shop wet/dry vacuum hose connections.
• Janitorial recovery tanks and industrial suction line extensions.
• Swimming pool vacuum hose joins and utility water recovery lines.

Tips and Additional Information

For optimal performance, inspect the inner diameter of your vinyl vacuum hose cuffs prior to installation to confirm a snug 1.5-inch friction fit. Because this coupler utilizes a smooth wall design rather than internal barbs, no mechanical thread sealant or solvent cement is required for standard vacuum pressure applications. Simply twist the stiffened or cold vinyl cuff onto the adapter end until fully seated against the center alignment ridge. If working in extremely cold ambient temperatures, warming the vinyl hose cuff briefly with warm water or hot air will allow the smooth joiner to seat smoothly without split risk. Ensure lines are completely depressurized prior to disconnecting hose lengths.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will this connector stretch out my vacuum hose cuffs over time?
A: No. Unlike traditional barbed connectors that permanently stretch, stress, or tear vinyl cuffs, this coupler features a smooth wall design engineered to preserve the elastic memory and lifespan of your hose cuffs.

Q: Is this a live swivel or rotating fitting?
A: No. This is a solid, one-piece rigid plastic joiner designed strictly for static inline coupling of two hose ends. It does not rotate independently during operation.

Q: Do I need glue, hose clamps, or thread sealant to install this joiner?
A: For standard commercial extraction and vacuum operations, no clamps or sealants are required. The precision 1.5-inch outer diameter relies on a secure friction fit inside standard 1.5-inch vinyl cuffs.

Q: Can this coupler be used with high-pressure liquid lines?
A: No. This joiner is rated strictly for low-pressure vacuum air movement and liquid recovery lines. It is not rated for high-pressure solution lines or pressure washer discharge hoses.

Warranty & Safety Information

This product is backed by a standard manufacturer 90-day defect warranty covering materials and workmanship under normal commercial use. Warranty coverage is voided if the connector is subjected to operating pressures exceeding standard vacuum levels, exposed to continuous fluid temperatures above 140°F, exposed to incompatible harsh solvents/acids that degrade molded plastics, or damaged due to improper mechanical force or heavy crushing loads. Always verify that vacuum equipment is fully powered off before connecting or disconnecting recovery hoses to prevent debris discharge hazards.
