Clean Storm 20240510 HEPA Concrete Grinder Dust & Slurry Collector
Three-Motor Wet/Dry Dust Extractor with Cyclonic Pre-Separator, 335 CFM, 108.1-Inch Water Lift and 50-Foot Hose
The Clean Storm 20240510 is a commercial three-motor HEPA wet/dry vacuum designed for concrete grinding, floor preparation, construction cleanup, woodworking, restoration work and slurry recovery.
The system combines strong airflow, high sealed suction, a cyclonic pre-separator, a stainless-steel recovery tank and multi-stage filtration. The package also includes a 50-foot, 2-inch vacuum hose, wet and dry cleaning tools, an aluminum transport dolly and stair-climbing wheels.
Electrical Requirement:
This vacuum has two standard NEMA 5-15P power cords. Each cord must be connected to a separate properly grounded 120-volt, 20-amp branch circuit. For full three-motor operation, the two circuits must be on opposite electrical phases. The included phase-locator system helps confirm the correct connection.

Published airflow, suction and electrical figures are maximum or test-condition values. Actual performance and electrical consumption vary with voltage, filter condition, hose length, hose diameter, tool opening, surface seal, debris loading and the number of motors operating.
Vacuum Motor Airflow and Electrical Performance
Vacuum-motor electrical consumption changes as airflow restriction changes. The motors draw the most wattage during unrestricted open-flow operation and less wattage as the inlet becomes restricted toward complete occlusion.
Operating Condition
Input Per Motor
Three-Motor Total
Typical Example
Open Flow
1,381 watts
4,143 watts
Open hose or very little airflow restriction
Calculated Midpoint
1,188 watts
3,564 watts
Estimated representative input with filters, hose and cleaning tools installed
Full Occlusion
995 watts
2,985 watts
Vacuum inlet completely sealed with almost no airflow
Midpoint calculation:
4,143 watts open flow + 2,985 watts full occlusion = 7,128 watts.
7,128 watts divided by 2 = 3,564 watts .
Important: The 3,564-watt figure is a calculated midpoint, not a fixed or guaranteed power-consumption rating. Actual wattage may be higher or lower depending on the amount of airflow restriction.

Four-Stage Filtration and Separation System
Stage 1: Cyclonic Pre-Separator
The cyclonic pre-separator spins the incoming air stream to remove heavier dust, chips and debris before they enter the main vacuum tank and filters. It can be used with commonly available trash bags, helping reduce the cost of proprietary collection liners.
Stage 2: Disposable Dry Collection Bag
The heavy-duty yellow collection bag captures dry debris and provides approximately 1,140 square inches of filtration area. The bag must be removed before recovering water, slurry or other nonflammable liquids.
Stage 3: Washable Poly-Cotton Cone Filter
The reusable poly-cotton cone filter provides another layer of protection before air reaches the final HEPA filter. The filter may be carefully rinsed and reused after it has dried completely.
Stage 4: Washable CleanStream HEPA Filter
The final CleanStream HEPA filter has 82 pleats and approximately 10.82 square feet of filtration media. The multi-stage system reduces direct loading on the final filter and may extend the time between filter cleanings.
Filter-Care Notice:
Never reinstall or operate the vacuum with a damp filter. Allow all reusable filters to air-dry completely. Do not hold compressed air close to the filter because excessive pressure may damage the media.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this vacuum require a 240-volt receptacle?
No dedicated 240-volt receptacle is required. The electrical system uses two standard 120-volt plugs connected to separate 20-amp circuits on opposite electrical phases. Both connections are required for full three-motor 240 volt operation.
Can both cords be plugged into the same wall outlet?
No. Both receptacles in a typical duplex wall outlet normally share the same branch circuit. Each cord must be connected to a separate 20-amp circuit.
What does the green phase-locator light mean?
A bright green indicator confirms that the two power cords are connected to circuits on opposite phases. When the light does not illuminate, move one cord to another suitable circuit and test again.
Can the vacuum operate with only one or two motors?
Yes. Each vacuum motor can be operated independently. Internal check valves help prevent air from escaping through motors that are switched off.
Why does wattage change with airflow?
The vacuum motors consume the most power during unrestricted open-flow operation. Electrical consumption decreases as the hose or tool becomes more restricted and approaches complete occlusion.
Is 3,564 watts the exact operating wattage?
No. The 3,564-watt figure is the mathematical midpoint between the 4,143-watt open-flow input and the 2,985-watt full-occlusion input. Actual operating wattage depends on the amount of airflow restriction.
Can this vacuum collect concrete slurry and water?
Yes. Remove the disposable dry collection bag and install the water-deflector elbow before recovering liquids. Empty the recovery tank before the collected liquid reaches approximately 10 gallons.
Can the yellow paper bag remain installed during wet pickup?
No. The disposable dry collection bag must be removed before collecting liquids or slurry.
Is the HEPA filter washable?
The supplied CleanStream HEPA filter is washable. Carefully rinse the filter and allow it to air-dry completely before reinstalling it.
Does this package include the 50-foot hose?
Yes. The package includes 50 feet of 2-inch-ID vacuum hose, an adapter cuff and a wet/dry cleaning tool kit.
Will the vacuum connect to a 3-inch grinder port?
A 3-inch-to-2-inch adapter may be required. Confirm the exact grinder dust-port size before ordering.
Is this vacuum automatically OSHA compliant?
No vacuum is automatically compliant for every application. Compliance depends on the complete system, including the connected grinder, shroud, hose, actual airflow, filter condition, work method, exposure duration, respiratory protection and the employer’s written exposure-control plan.
Can this vacuum collect combustible dust?
This vacuum is not explosion-proof. Do not use it where combustible, ignitable or explosive dust may be present.
Can extension cords be used?
Direct connection to properly rated wall circuits is preferred. Long or undersized extension cords can cause voltage drop, overheating and reduced vacuum performance. Any extension cord used must be properly grounded and correctly sized for the circuit load and cord length.
