Replacement coil temperature sensor for select DriStorm, Suntec, Nikro, and Abatement Technologies commercial LGR dehumidifiers.

This sensor measures the temperature of the refrigeration coil and sends that information to the dehumidifier control system. The machine uses this reading to help manage refrigeration operation, coil freeze protection, and defrost cycles.

Possible Symptoms of a Failed Coil Sensor

• Dehumidifier enters defrost too frequently or not often enough

• Control panel displays an unrealistic coil temperature

Coil Sensor Versus Ambient Sensor

This listing is for the coil temperature sensor. It normally uses a metal or copper probe so it can monitor the refrigeration coil temperature.

Do not confuse it with the ambient-air temperature sensor, which measures the surrounding room temperature and may use a different connector, cable, probe, or part number.

Installation Guidelines

1. Disconnect the dehumidifier from electrical power before servicing.
2. Remove the necessary machine panels to access the refrigeration coil and control wiring.
3. Photograph the original sensor location and cable routing before removal.
4. Disconnect the original sensor from the wiring harness or control board.
5. Remove the sensor probe from its original mounting point.
6. Install the new probe in the same position and orientation as the original.
7. Route the cable away from fan blades, sharp sheet metal, hot components, and moving parts.
8. Reconnect the plug, reinstall the covers, and test machine operation.
