Understanding Dehumidifier Water Removal Ratings
Commercial dehumidifiers are advertised using different temperature and humidity testing conditions.
105 Pints Per Day AHAM: Approximately 13.13 gallons of moisture removal per day at 80°F and 60% relative humidity. This standardized rating is useful when comparing commercial dehumidifiers.
225 Pints Per Day Maximum Crossover Rating: Associated crossover models advertise up to 28.125 gallons of water removal per day at 90°F and 90% relative humidity. This rating has not been independently confirmed for the DriStorm AOne-90L configuration.
Original CT-180 Rating: The original CT-180 product literature advertises 180 pints per day at saturation. The precise testing conditions should be confirmed with the manufacturer.
Actual moisture removal depends on temperature, relative humidity, airflow, moisture availability, and operating conditions.

Help Protect Customer Floors from Unexpected Water Leaks.
Even properly functioning restoration dehumidifiers can occasionally release water because of condensate pump problems, clogged discharge hoses, loose connections, or residual condensation.
A properly sized drip tray provides secondary water containment beneath the dehumidifier.

Why Do Restoration Dehumidifiers Leak Water?
One frequently overlooked cause of water leaks is improper equipment shutdown and transportation.
After a refrigeration dehumidifier is turned off, cold evaporator coils may continue releasing condensation into the collection reservoir.
If the technician immediately purges the pump, unplugs the machine, and loads it into the truck, additional water may accumulate in the reservoir.
During transportation, this water can splash into the lower equipment housing and later leak onto the floor at the next job site.
Restoration Technician Tip: Turn dehumidifiers off first, but leave the electrical power and condensate discharge hoses connected while loading other restoration equipment, when permitted by the manufacturer's instructions.
Perform one final condensate pump purge before disconnecting and loading the dehumidifiers last.
