Instead of requiring employees to manually scrub every escalator step, the TreadMaster remains positioned at the bottom of the escalator while the moving steps pass through its cleaning head. A nylon-grit brush loosens soil from the tread grooves, the built-in vacuum collects loosened debris, and a polishing pad finishes the top surface of the tread.

How the TreadMaster Cleans

1. Position the TreadMaster at the bottom of the stopped escalator.
2. Center and secure the machine according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
3. Lower the correctly sized cleaning head into position.
4. Attach the vacuum hose and place the warning sign where it is clearly visible.
5. Start the machine and operate the escalator so the steps move away from the cleaner.
6. Allow the escalator steps to cycle repeatedly through the cleaning head.
7. Use the polishing position after the primary brushing process when appropriate.

Areas Not Automatically Cleaned

Recommended Maintenance
