The Kohler Command PRO CV742 is a commercial-duty 25 HP, 747cc V-Twin vertical-shaft gasoline engine used on select Exmark, Toro, Dixie Chopper, and other commercial equipment.

This engine is intended as the factory replacement for applications originally equipped with PA-CV742-3037. Because engine specifications can vary by OEM application, always compare your original Kohler model and specification number, crankshaft dimensions, wiring, mounting arrangement, and accessory requirements before ordering.

PA-CV742-3037 is no longer the current production specification. Kohler has superseded this engine to PA-CV742-3051.

Before Ordering

Kohler Command PRO engines that share the same horsepower or CV742 model designation are not automatically interchangeable. Different specification numbers can have different crankshafts, wiring harnesses, charging systems, controls, air cleaners, exhaust arrangements, and mounting configurations.

For the best replacement match, locate the identification label on your existing engine and verify the complete Model and Spec Number.

If your existing engine is labeled PA-CV742-3037 or CV742-3037, the current factory replacement is PA-CV742-3051.
