I have been using wet/dry vacs in tough applications for many years, and have destroyed my share of them. Prior to this vac I had a 15gal Powr Flite.
Heres the pluses to this Pullman Holt Machine
-Allows the use of a paper filter bag (this makes clean up easy and keeps dust down)
Uses a Darcon Filter bag over the pleated filter (this makes for a 3 stage dry filter process)
EXTREMELY Quiet (this is its true strength)
Very compact in size
External Filter cleaning knob
great accessories package all nice stuff
Very high quality unit overall no question about it
Negatives-
-No handle to push the vacuum around the shop only the 20gallon is equipped with a handle
-I wish the hose attached to the vacuum tank with a positive locking mechanism instead it is a friction fit (I pull the vacuum by the hose all the time and even with the tank full of liquid sludge it doesn't pop out)
-needs to have a hi visibility power cord for job sites, the black cord is just not right for a commercial machine, yellow would be best. Once someone trips on the cord because they couldn't see its gonna cost me alot of money.
-replacement bags are expensive
