Installation Information
Dri-Eaz has used more than one wiring arrangement in DrizAir 1200 machines. Installation is not necessarily a simple wire-for-wire exchange on every older dehumidifier. The correct procedure depends on the part number and wiring configuration of the original control panel.
The factory instructions contain separate procedures and wiring diagrams for different versions of the DrizAir 1200, as well as separate instructions for the Evolution dehumidifier. Review the complete instructions before disconnecting any wiring.

Before servicing: Drain or purge the water from the dehumidifier, disconnect the power cord and verify that the machine is completely unplugged. Incorrect wiring can damage the replacement control panel or other electrical components.
Recommended service tools
- Phillips-head screwdriver
- Ratchet and extension
- 1/4-inch, 5/16-inch and 3/8-inch sockets
- Needle-nose pliers
- Camera or phone for photographing the original wiring before disassembly
Before Ordering
- Confirm that the machine is a Dri-Eaz DrizAir 1200 or Evolution.
- Confirm that the dehumidifier operates on approximately 115–120 volts.
- Inspect and record the part number printed on the original control panel.
- Compare the existing wiring arrangement with the factory installation instructions.
- Do not order this panel for a DrizAir 2000 or DrizAir 2400.
If the original label is missing or unreadable, send clear photographs of the machine identification label, front control panel and wiring on the back of the existing panel before ordering.
Related Defrost Sensor
Depending on the diagnosis and condition of the machine, the control panel may be used with the Dri-Eaz 08-00260 / 119488 defrost sensor. The sensor is sold separately unless specifically stated otherwise.
