Possible Symptoms of a Failed Temperature Sensor

Incorrect or unstable ambient-temperature reading
Dehumidifier displays an unexpected temperature-related fault
Unit does not respond correctly to changing room temperatures
Control panel displays an unrealistic temperature value
Sensor wiring or connector is visibly damaged

These symptoms can also be caused by damaged wiring, loose electrical connections, or a control-board problem. Troubleshoot the machine before replacing electrical components.

Installation Notes

Disconnect the dehumidifier from electrical power before servicing.
Photograph the original sensor location and wire routing before removal.
Inspect the connector and adjoining wiring for corrosion, looseness, or heat damage.
Install the replacement sensor in the same position as the original component.
Secure the wiring away from the fan, compressor tubing, sharp edges, and moving components.
Reassemble the machine and test the displayed ambient temperature.
