The Vacu-Boom C-4 Replacement Connector Clip secures compatible modular Vacu-Boom components together. Use it to replace a missing, damaged or worn clip on a Vacu-Boom VB20-VR1B wastewater recovery system or another compatible Vacu-Boom configuration.

Vacu-Boom systems are assembled from individual boom sections and specialized fittings. Connector clips hold these components together while allowing the system to be disassembled for transportation, cleaning, storage or reconfiguration.

What the Connector Clip Does

The C-4 clip is used at the connection point between compatible Vacu-Boom components. Depending on the system configuration, the clip may be used to:

• Attach a replacement end cap to a boom section
• Attach a vacuum-hose end cap to a boom section
• Connect a center tap to compatible boom sections
• Replace a lost or damaged original connector clip

Vacu-Boom equipment has been produced in several sizes and configurations. Compare this clip with the connection hardware on your existing system before ordering.

Installation

1. Turn off and disconnect the recovery vacuum.
2. Position the two compatible Vacu-Boom components together.
3. Align the connection surfaces and clip-retaining areas.
4. Install the connector clip over the joint.
5. Make sure the clip is fully seated and securely holds both components.
6. Connect the vacuum hose and other required equipment.
7. Start the recovery vacuum and inspect the joint for movement, air leakage or liquid leakage.

Do not operate the system if the clip is cracked, distorted, excessively worn or unable to hold the connection securely.

Recommended Spare Part

Because Vacu-Boom systems are frequently assembled and disassembled at the job site, connector clips can become misplaced or damaged during transportation, setup or storage.

Keeping one or more spare C-4 connector clips with the recovery system can help prevent a missing clip from delaying a wastewater-recovery job.
