Be able to plug into all four of the most common types of 230 volt -240 volt receptacles in a home. NEMA 10-30R, 14-30R, 10-50R, and 14-50R.
Please note for restoration we recommend that you plug dehumidifiers into either the NEMA 10-50R or the 14-50R and leave the air movers to plug into standard 5-15R or 5-20R wall outlets.
Plugging into the 10-30R or the 14-30R should only be used as a last resort if the 10-50R and 14-50R are not available.
This is because you will find the 10-50R and 14-50R will be on their own main breaker (usually on the outside of the home). On the other hand, the 10-30R and 14-30R will be shared in and with the wall outlets that join all under the main breaker for the home (usually in the garage).
Dehumidifier placement is not relevant as you are supposed to have the air handler system with the blow motor to the ON position to circulate the air though out the home.
These adapters have been in production since 1981 and have been proven to be very helpful. (Longer than any other brand that we know of)
