Description

The Clean Storm 20150319 Double Pole Single Throw (DPST) Toggle Switch is built for heavy-duty electrical control in demanding commercial cleaning and industrial equipment. Rated for 20 Amps at 125 VAC, this switch features four 1/4" male EZ spade quick-connect terminals and a durable stainless steel mounting frame, delivering reliable power management for pressure washers, carpet extraction machines, and truckmount systems.

Features

• Heavy-Duty Electrical Rating: Engineered to handle high-current loads up to 20 Amps at 125 VAC for industrial equipment switching.
• DPST Circuit Configuration: Double Pole Single Throw setup enables simultaneous control of two independent electrical circuits or dual-line disconnection for enhanced safety.
• Four 1/4" EZ Spade Terminals: Standard 1/4 inch male quick-connect spade terminals facilitate fast, secure, and tool-free wire connector termination.
• Corrosion-Resistant Stainless Steel Frame: Heavy-gauge stainless steel bezel and mounting plate protect against moisture, chemical exposure, and rust in harsh wash environments.
• Positive Toggle Actuation: Crisp, tactile mechanical toggle action prevents accidental mid-position stalling and guarantees clear ON/OFF status verification.

Applications

• Commercial Carpet Extractors: Primary main power and vacuum/pump control switch for portable carpet cleaning units and hot water extractors.
• Truckmount Cleaning Systems: Panel-mounted control switch for high-pressure truckmount extraction rigs and auxiliary chemical pumps.
• Industrial Pressure Washers: On/off master control switch for electric cold-water and hot-water high-pressure washing machines.
• Floor Scrubbers & Auto-Burnishers: Heavy-duty electrical toggle component for commercial floor care equipment motor circuits.

Tips and Additional Information

Prior to installing or replacing the Clean Storm 20150319 switch, ensure the main power supply to your equipment is completely disconnected and locked out. Inspect incoming female spade connectors for snug fit, corrosion, or heat degradation; loose electrical spade connections cause high resistance, excessive heat buildup, and premature switch terminal melting. When mounting to control panels, ensure proper cutout dimensions and tighten the panel locknut securely without over-torquing, which can fracture internal contact housings. Use waterproof boot covers if mounting in areas subject to direct liquid spray or splash.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What does DPST mean for this toggle switch?
A: DPST stands for Double Pole, Single Throw. This means the switch controls two separate circuits simultaneously with a single toggle lever, opening or closing both power lines at the same time.

Q: Can I use female spade connectors on this switch?
A: Yes. The switch features four standard 1/4" male EZ spade terminals designed to pair directly with standard 1/4" female push-on quick-disconnect wiring terminals.

Q: Is this switch suitable for 220V/240V equipment?
A: This model is rated for 20 Amps at 125 VAC. Always verify your machinery's voltage and amperage requirements prior to installation; exceeding 125V or 20A ratings will compromise performance and safety.

Q: Is the stainless steel frame rust-resistant in wet extraction environments?
A: Yes, the heavy-duty stainless steel frame provides excellent protection against moisture, rust, and chemical exposure commonly found in carpet extraction and pressure washing operations.

Warranty & Safety Information

This Clean Storm product is covered by a standard manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and factory workmanship under normal operating conditions. Warranty coverage does not apply to units subjected to electrical overload exceeding 20A/125V, short-circuit damage caused by improper wiring, mechanical abuse, unauthorized alterations, or failure resulting from corroded/loose wire terminals. Always disconnect equipment power before servicing electrical components to prevent high-voltage shock hazard or equipment damage.
