Description

The PG 8 DR is a powerful remote-controlled planetary floor grinder with Dual Drive Technology™. This feature lets you adjust the grinding discs' rotation speed and direction independently of the drum. The machine is an excellent choice for all applications, from preparing to grinding and polishing concrete and stone floors. The mist cooler system cools the diamond tools, significantly increasing the removal rate and reducing the risk of glazing the tools (compared with not using the mist cooler system). If needed, the integrated adjustable weights can be used to increase grinding pressure and productivity.

The all-new remote control enables precise operation and gives the operator control of important grinding parameters like real-time power consumption, incoming current, motor rpms and more. Ergonomic features like the integrated transport wheel make handling the machine easier before and after grinding.

The hermetically sealed design of the grinding head and electrical cabinet, along with the robustness of the components, contributes to high reliability and low maintenance.

Features

Dual Drive technology™ makes it possible to adjust the grinding discs' rotation speed and direction independently of the drum. This allows you to optimise your tools and grind as efficiently as possible. The machine's high grinding pressure means a high removal rate.
The mist cooler system sprays a fine mist on the floor, which cools the diamond tools. This makes it possible to achieve a better cut, reduces the risk of glazing the tools, and significantly increases productivity.
The unit delivers an improved driving experience, thanks to the joystick controls' fast and precise response. The large anti-glare screen provides real-time information including power consumption, incoming current and motor rpms.
Sealed grinding head with 1000 hrs service interval. This prevents dust or water to intrude and damage components.
Dust sealed electrical cabinet with external cooling technology. This prevents dust to intrude and damage components.
An onboard charger ensures you'll always have a charged battery at hand, and that you'll never leave the charger at the worksite by mistake.
A foldable transport wheel mounted on the chassis. Saves time and reduces physical strain when transporting the machine.
The robust steel floating shroud follows the floor surface for optimal dust pick-up – no adjustments needed.
Replication of manual grinding movements (oscillation), optimises the grinding pattern by adjusting amplitude and frequency. Gives a flatter floor by eliminating so-called ridges otherwise created between passes. At the same time, the oscillation function saves time for the operator, as you only have to go over the floor once with the machine, instead of using the cross-hatch technique.
The integrated battery pack makes it easy to transport the machine to and from the work site.
Adjustable handle for better ergonomics.
EZchange™ is an instant and hassle-free system for changing diamond tooling.
The integrated weights allow you to adjust the grinding pressure into different preset positions. They also make it easier to tilt the machine.
The optional light kit substantially improves visibility of the floor while you grind. Thanks to magnetic attachments, they are easy to position and adjust.
Husqvarna Fleet Services™ is a digital, cloud-based asset management service that gathers and presents key machine data. Machine sensors are either embedded or retrofitted to the exterior of the machine.
Tool holder plates are easily removed without the need of special tooling.
The EZchange™ tool holder with Airflow technology creates an increased and controlled airflow around the tools. This cools the tools and directs dust towards the extractor.

Special order, or custom build items may take up to 30 days to arrive, but orders shipped from within Steambrite's warehouse inventory are generally processed and shipped in 2-5 business days. Equipment small enough to be sent by ground should typically arrive within 3-5 business days after shipment. Oversized shipments could take in excess of 6-8 working days to arrive after shipment, and ground shipping times are not guaranteed.
