	Pumptec: M9253F Motor Only Replaces the Old M53  or similar Note in 2026 Pumptec is using some M9253 Motors that have built in bridge rectifiers. If you end up with a M9253 stamped on the motor, you will notice the wire are no longer red/black but now white/black and ready to hook to 120 volt AC current directly.  No bridge rectifier needed and should not be used.

Note: to use in a Kaivac cleaning machine you just un-bolt the front head and re-use the front head face plate from your original pump. 
This way the water goes in and out through the front and not the sides. 
This is super easy to do, as you just remove the head from the motor and then remove the two bolts on the back of the pump to remove the front face plate off the pump. 
The above procedure will save you over $200 over purchasing the same pump with the pre-drilled and tapped holes in the front of the pump.
