This heater core ships factory direct to the customer. Due to the thin aluminum cooling fins and the manufacturer's current packaging methods, these units commonly arrive with cosmetic shipping damage such as bent fins, dented edges, or minor deformation during transit.

In some cases, units may also develop leaks caused by shipping impact. Legend Brands has advised that bent fins and similar cosmetic imperfections are considered normal shipping-related handling conditions and are not treated by the manufacturer as a warranty issue.

Please note that these heater cores are not typically double-boxed or heavily cushioned by the manufacturer. Because of the packaging style used by the factory, UPS and FedEx frequently deny shipping damage claims on these items.

We are providing this notice in advance because this has been a repeated issue experienced by many customers over the years. Historically, Steambrite has attempted to assist customers with replacements at our own expense; however, due to the high replacement cost of these heater cores, we can no longer absorb these losses.
